My
name is Christa Moeller and I live in Plano. At the risk of
sounding like a 3rd grade "all about me essay",
I will attempt to describe a little about what makes me tick...without
getting too personal.
As
long as I can remember I have always wanted to be an artist.
In what way, shape or form that would take I did not know.
I spent my formative years exploring many different types
of art, from painting and drawing to radio production, from
digital art to web design, from journalistic writing to photography
and more.
My
meticulous, perfectionist and organizational talents also
make it easy for me to compile, sort and organize information
and objects in a variety of haggard and disheveled states
of disarray. Sometimes I wonder if I could be one of those
organizational consultants that gets your junk (and your life)
in order.
I
enjoy all kinds of science and science fiction...especialy
when it pertains to philosophy. I also enjoy learning about
what makes things work. For example, I recently took a cruise
to the Carribean. I was so surprised and dissapointed that
the ship (one "fun" ship cruise line) didn't have
a tour of the bridge or engine room! Or have seminars and
classes explaining how the boat works, or how the ocean topography
interacts with the course as related to the weather patterns,
etc. How the engines propel the boat, how it communicates
with shore, etc etc etc. I also love astronomy, cosmology
and elementary physics...without the math. I think if I had
excelled at math I would have been a cosmologist or an astronomer
of some sort. Or at least a meteorologist.
I
love animals and can't stand to see them mistreated.
I
hate wasting things and recycle whatever I possibly can.
I
am introverted, which means that I tend to be a quiet person
who works well by myself. It does not mean I am shy or anti
social. Introverted people just need time to think things
over. As a result, I can work on complex projects and strive
to make sense out of complicated things...so that others may
more easily derive the information they need. My mind runs
24/7, and so I am always thinking things over and revising
and improving. I express myself very clearly with the written
word.
My
favorite color is purple.
I
love the desert. I am from there (El Paso, TX). There is something
about the desert that is mystical...it is so balanced because
it has to be. It is quite beautiful.
I
love the rain...probably because I am from the desert and
anytime it rained it was a happy time rather than a depressing
time.
Certain
types of music give me energy. I love electronic music, but
tribal music in perticular (Stomp, Taiko drumming, Native
American and Aboriginal dances) just gives me an energy that
just feels wonderful. It takes me to another place.
That's
all for now, I'll add more as I think of it.
